Alexandra tried to soothe her frazzled nerves but they seemed inconsolable. She didn't want to snap at poor Sumi again. She'd always give her this look, like she just kicked a puppy in the face, it was heartbreaking. Alexandra was barely paying attention to the words Sumi was saying just watching her mouth rapidly move. She slowly began to back away and muttered a goodbye. Alexandra turned on her heel and began to walk away but Sumi persisted and began to follow her. The dark-haired girl let a inward growl of frustration and sped up her pace. Soon enough she was running, running out the school doors, running into the other building and running down foreign hallways. It’s like she was in one of those old black and white movies as she weaved in and out of classrooms trying to escape her purser. She needed a route. Alexandra began to formulate a plan and a sly smile began to appear on her face. With a burst of speed she was off, the sound of the others footsteps not far behind. Three doors down, take a left around the corner with locker 214 next to it and go up the stairs there. Alexandra sprinted down the hallway and quickly turned. She paused for a millisecond and checked behind her. Then she saw her. Alexandra's eyes widened and she began to sprint away. Gotta get away, gotta get away. Up the stairs she went Open the door next to classroom 27, the door goes in. She pushed the door open and bounded her way up the staircase. After dashing her way up staircase after staircase the fourth level door came into view and Alexandra let out a relaxed sigh. The moment didn't last long as she heard a door slip shut from below. Then she was off again. the running was starting to get to her but she'd take that over talking to Sumi again. Go to the left and wait till two classroom doors pass by. Take a right at the water fountain. Open the door to your immediate left and you're home free. Alexandra fell through the door on her hands on knees trying to catch her breath. Her legs burned and her chest just didn't seem to want to function. Alexandra couldn't help but be upset over how out of shape she was. But nonetheless she'd made it, she was home free. She managed to get up to her feet and surveyed her surroundings. Alexandra waited by the door waiting for the moment Sumi would burst through the doors. That moment never came so Alexandra knew she was safe, for now anyway. She was in the back of the Izumi Chou library. She wouldn't dare even go into the kyodo one so she sneaks here to hide and read a good book from time to time. Technically she's not supposed to be here but she found ways to sneak in. Alexandra sucked in the scent of old books and exhaled happily. She checked her surroundings for any people and was happy to find none. The girl walked up to the bookshelf right in front of her and began to run her fingers down the spines. Four rows down and fifteen books to the left. She felt the old leather under her fingers and instantly pulled the book out. She gave a small nod to herself. Alexandra's shoulders relaxed as she clutched the book to her chest. Her eyes began to slip shut as she hummed to herself. She walked around the corner and stopped dead in her tracks. The book fell from her hands and hit the floor with a loud slap. Alexandra sucked in a breath. She had put her guard down. She's got it coming to her now. This was exactly what she wanted to avoid. She could pass for a student. Maybe the person wouldn’t notice. Yes, that could work. Alexandra calmed herself down and looked at the boy in front of her “I didn’t realize anyone was here.” she said as she bent over to retrieve her book. “Sorry about the interruption.” She just had to act natural but that’s one of those things easier said than done.[/style] |
